Being A Top Cleaner

We believe our team of cleaners are the best available and we want to keep it this way! Below are some of the most important factors we believe makes a good cleaner that'll be booked time and time again.

Reliability

Reliability is super important as a cleaner as this ensures that the cleaning task is going to be completed on time and to a 'Cleaners on Tap' standard. A reliable cleaner is someone who can be counted on to do their job thoroughly and to the best of their ability, this will help build trust with the customer and help you get rebooked for future cleans. As a cleaner of 'Cleaners on Tap' we hope that you will always turn up on time to your bookings and finishing within the allocated time whilst consistently delivering high-quality cleans- it is therefore essential that you availability is kept up to date and frequently reviewed, doing so will ensure every clean you are booked for works for you too!

Standard Of Cleaning

We know our customers standards are as high as our own! A key factor of being a good cleaner is making sure that you fully complete the type of clean booked by the customer, whether it is a Deep Clean, General Clean or Holiday Let Clean. For example if a customer is booking you for a 'Deep Clean' you must ensure that all criteria for that type of clean is complete to a sufficient standard. To remind you of what should be included in each type of clean, checkout Our Cleans Compared - it is important to note that if the correct type of clean is not complete that the customer may be entitled to a refund and as a result you may not be paid.
Cleaners should work in a systematic way to ensure all areas are covered and that time is being managed appropriately, although we know you may be happy cleaning for longer, running over the booked time can cause issues for customers, such as delaying guests checking into a holiday let.

Cleaning Product Care

You need the right tools for the job - a high standard of cleaning can only be achieved when cleaners are using the correct product. Knowing which cleaning product to use is crucial because using the wrong product can damage to surfaces, be ineffective for the cleaning task, cause safety risks due to incompatible chemicals, and potentially harm the environment by using a product not suited for the specific cleaning job. As stated in the terms & conditions, it is a requirement of 'Cleaners on Tap' that you choose the right product which ensures safety and efficient cleaning. If ever unsure, read the product label and complete thorough research first. Communication

Being a good cleaner is not all about the clean itself! Good communication is essential to being a top cleaner as it puts the customer at ease making them far more likely to book you again. There are several options for communicating with customers, including our free 'Cleaners On Tap' messaging service, or using the contact details included in your booking confirmation. Once you are booked for a clean, we recommend getting in touch with the customer and thanking them for choosing you. You can remind the customer to let you know any information that you may need to know before your arrival at the property i.e. how to enter, where linen is kept or even any specific areas the customer would like you to pay more attention to. If you arrive at a property and the customer is not present we recommend contacting them to let them know you entered okay and are now starting the clean and messaging them once the clean is complete and you have left the property. It is essential you communicate with the customer immediately if you face any issues during the clean or notice anything they should be made aware of. If you notice anything that you think may be illegal while completing a clean it is essential you make the local authorities aware and contact 'Cleaners On Tap' immediately.

Respect Privacy Of Customers

We expect our cleaners to respect the privacy of customers, doing so not only helps to build a trusting relationship with clients but also essential in protecting sensitive information. To ensure a customer's privacy as a cleaner, you should: keep your 'Cleaners On Tap' account secure and for your eyes only, changing account passwords from time to time, never discuss personal details about the customer with anyone, whilst cleaning avoid looking through personal belongings, never taking photographs of the property unless requested by the customer, only accessing areas that are necessary for cleaning, respect boundaries regarding private spaces, and always maintain a professional approach. If you see something concerning, report it only to the appropriate authorities and 'Cleaners On Tap'.
